           We probably all heard of the Golden Rule or a variation of it and it really is golden! When it comes to being a good neighbor, be the type of person that you’d like to live next door to, or above or below! Living in an apartment building is unique in that your neighbors really are right next to you. There is no lawn as a buffer. That means that, if you want to be a good neighbor, it’s important to be mindful of others’ comfort. In addition to a smile or friendly greeting when passing in the hallway, there are a few other tips to help you be a valued part of your apartment community.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Keep the noise level down so that you can enjoy your television or music but you aren’t forcing your neighbors to listen also.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Help keep common areas neat and tidy. If you spill something in the hall, please clean it up. Trash should go to the correct receptacles and not be left outside your door until you “get around to it.”
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            If you are having a party, please give your immediate neighbors some warning and try to keep the fun from interfering with others' comfort. While you might work from 8 - 5, you may have neighbors who work overnight and are trying to sleep during the day.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Most of all, be trustworthy and respectful. It’s so easy and insures that you will be respected and trusted in return.
           &#xD;

    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;

           The first thing to do if you are having a problem with your electricity, appliances, water or pests is to contact the building manager. Believe it or not, we won’t think you’re a nuisance! Far from it - notifying management as soon as you see a problem can keep a tiny leak from becoming a waterfall.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Your apartment managers want you to be comfortable and living in a safe home. Don’t be hesitant to ask for help or service.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Please also keep in mind that we will address your problem as soon as possible. Unfortunately there may be a slight delay if a neighbor is having a more critical issue. And you’ll appreciate that patience if you are the neighbor with the urgent concern!

            Determine your budget

            : Figure out how much you can afford to pay in rent each month. Keep in mind that you may also have to pay additional costs like utilities, internet, and cable.

      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            Search for apartments
           &#xD;

            : Look for apartments that fit your budget and meet your other requirements (e.g. number of bedrooms, location). You can search online, drive around neighborhoods you are interested in, or use a rental agency to help you find a place.

            Tour apartments

            : Once you have found some apartments you are interested in, schedule a tour to see the unit in person. This will give you a chance to get a feel for the place and ask the landlord any questions you may have.

            Apply for the apartment

            : If you decide you want to rent the apartment, the landlord will likely ask you to fill out an application. This will usually include information about your employment, income, and rental history. The landlord will use this information to decide if you are a good candidate to rent their apartment.

            Sign the lease

            Pay the rent and move in
